Alex Siniscalchi focuses on creating street art with passion and determination. # k5soiree
SEATTLE – Alex Siniscalchi was 11 when he realized he wanted to be an artist.
He felt inspired after his first trip to New York with his father in the 90s, as urban street art began to explode.
“I fell in love with all the graffiti in town,” Alex said.
Upon his return to his hometown of Caracas, Venezuela, he began to work on his own style. As a teenager, he painted as much as he could to master his craft.
Soon he was noticed by the opposition movement of the Venezuelan government, who asked him if he would help create works of art for their campaign.
“I was a child at the time and wanted to paint so I accepted.”
It was the start of his professional career as an artist. After years of creating art for political campaigns, he noticed that his art was too serious and lacked in joy.
“I realized that I was only painting in black and white with no colors,” he explained.
Alex knew this had to change and started experimenting with colors and new techniques. From now on, his art is inspired by social, political, cultural, spiritual and banal subjects, but above all by love.
Alex made his way northwest and now you can see his art on the streets of Seattle. He even created his own brand, CCSTENCIL, where you can check out his catalog of original art, posters and t-shirts. Best of all, Alex will soon be returning to where it all began – New York – to exhibit his art.
